Project 1060: Rate It
Context
Rate It is a fun and engaging photo-sharing platform where users can upload images, receive star ratings (0 to 10), and get feedback through comments. Designed to foster spontaneous interactions, Rate It focuses on showcasing random photos rather than curated social feeds.
What we build
Core Features:
Photo Uploads: Share photos with a brief description and thematic tags
Randomized Feed: Users can explore and interact with photos uploaded by others in a randomized format.
Rating System: Rate photos from 0 to 10 stars with intuitive controls.
Commenting: Provide feedback and engage in meaningful conversations.
Extra Layer – Token Mechanics (Optional at MVP stage):
- Business Validator: Companies can share product ideas visually and get instant feedback from a relevant audience—turning RateIt into a rapid validation tool.
- Earn Tokens: Users receive tokens for meaningful participation (uploading, rating, commenting).
- Utility: Tokens can be used to gain app shares, priority photo placement, and access to exclusive offers.

Impact
RateIt is a social app where people share random, everyday pictures—like an old wooden door or a rock by the sea. They don’t have to be perfect or beautiful. Some people will love them, others won’t—and that’s the point.
By letting users rate their own photos and others’, the app helps discover who shares your taste. Over time, RateIt connects people with similar preferences (with user approval), helping build a healthy and like-minded community.
